Vazra Sakla Waterfall
Vazra Sakla rewards the trek it takes to get there - a real forest descent through one of the wilder corners of Goa's Western Ghats, ending at twin falls dropping side by side into the valley below. It's not a manicured trail; the route through Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary is largely unmarked, which is exactly what keeps this stretch of forest as quiet as it is.

The Trail
The trek runs from the Chorla Ghat side down through dense forest, crossing streams and picking a line over boulder-strewn stretches on the way to the falls. Route and distance vary depending on the village start point used, and the sanctuary's forest cover means phone signal is essentially absent for most of the walk. This is sanctuary land, so trail access and any group-size limits follow current Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary rules.

Descend through sanctuary forest from the Chorla Ghat side to the twin falls, with time at the base before the return climb out the same way.

Fitness level required: high. Group size runs 6–12 people. Age range: 14–55 years.

Safety
- Trek leader carries a first-aid kit and satellite communication where network is unavailable
- Group pace is set by the slowest member, not the fastest
- Stream crossings and boulder sections are guided one at a time
- Weather-based rescheduling takes priority over the itinerary
Permits
The trail runs through Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary. Entry is through a forest checkpoint fee, and larger groups may need prior permission from the Chief Wildlife Warden. Rules are set by the Goa Forest Department and can change - always confirm current access before booking.

A ₹1,000 Booking Advance secures your booking request. Final confirmation is issued only after operational and permit verification. The advance is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it blocks your spot in the group.
If we cancel a trek due to weather, safety, or forest department restrictions, you get a full refund or a free reschedule.
Notes
The hero and gallery photos show the Chorla Ghat viewpoint and forest that frame the trailhead - no freely licensed photo of the Vazra Sakla falls themselves was found during sourcing; this will be replaced with an on-trail photo once we've run the route.
Sustainability
Vazra Sakla's forest is a nesting ground for the critically endangered long-billed vulture - we keep groups small and off-trail noise to a minimum for this reason.
