Why This Trek
Anthargange
Anthargange doesn't have the scale of a big Western Ghats climb, but it has texture - a temple tucked into rock, boulders you have to use both hands on, and caves that turn a short day trek into something closer to an exploration. It's a good one for a group that wants a change of pace from the usual grassland-and-ridge trek.
Before You Book
- Forest access may require a valid permit.
- Authorised guide support may be mandatory.
- Departure depends on current route availability.
- Weather and wildlife conditions may affect access.
- Route and timings can change for safety reasons.
- Camping is only offered where currently permitted.
- Government ID may be required for permit registration.
- Final confirmation is issued only after operational verification.
The Trail
The trail starts at the Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple at the base and climbs over granite boulders and rock slabs to the hilltop, with a scramble through narrow cave sections along the way. The deeper cave system further from the temple is currently closed to visitors pending safety clearance - this route stays on the sections that are open.
- A spring-fed temple pond built into volcanic rock, believed locally to never run dry
- A boulder scramble up granite slabs to the hilltop
- Small cave passages near the summit - part of what makes this trek genuinely offbeat
Itinerary

Cancellation Policy
A ₹1,000 Booking Advance secures your booking request. Final confirmation is issued only after operational and permit verification. The advance is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it blocks your spot in the group.
If we cancel a trek due to weather, safety, or forest department restrictions, you get a full refund or a free reschedule.
Notes
Cave access beyond the temple area is restricted as of our research; scope of the route offered will depend on what's actually open when we run this.
Sustainability
The cave closures here exist for good reason - we'll only ever offer the sections that are actually cleared for visitors.
